This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. In Good Company
The Center for Ethics, Society, and Computing at University of Michigan (Sophia Brueckner); the Citizens & Technology Lab at Cornell (Nathan Matias); the Data + Feminism Lab at MIT (Catherine D’Ignazio); and the Institute for Data, Democracy, and Politics at George Washington University (Rebekah Tromble) are creating care packages for other scholars to send encouragement to people under attack.
We conducted small workshops where groups created care packages for individuals facing targeted harassment- including notecards with notable scientists who faced opposition and handmade bracelets.
The care packages will be circulated to people who need them by a team at George Washington University and the Knight Institute who are also coordinating access to mental health support, privacy protections, and legal defense where needed. These recipients are kept anonymous to the senders. The senders will be known to the recipients, who can decide if they want to respond.
I am part of the team creating the facilitation guide for the workshops, as well as conducting pilots at Cornell.

Support Network
Coca-Cola Brazil's juice brand, Del Valle, partnered with the women's collective Hysteria and the CUBOCC agency to co-create a campaign centered on authentic motherhood. Del Valle set out to portray real motherhood experiences by working closely with women and mothers, resulting in five stories that capture everyday situations faced by women.
The videos highlight the importance of nurturing a support network of family, friends, and colleagues to navigate the different roles and journeys of motherhood. The campaign invites everyone to be part of this support network, addressing themes like maternal guilt, night shifts, career challenges, the double burden of work and home responsibilities, and the equal division of household chores.
I was responsible for the desk research and in-depth interviews with 10 mothers which were translated in real motherhood portrayals.

GIZ Technology Radar - Gender Responsive Metrics
Towards gender equality and the empowerment of women through emerging technologies
In this research, the goal was to build a responsive metrics designed to ensure that different groups of individuals in disregard to their gender, sexual orientation and gender identity have equal opportunities to achieve their full potential. The responsive metrics are based on the impact that the widespread use of emerging technologies may imply in the social fabric of communities. The application of these metrics will be performed on 100 technologies previously mapped in the TechDetector Radar.
I was responsible for creating more than 100+ implications for gender in the radar, crafting the workshop methodology as well as delivering a commencement keynote for the workshop, explaining the relationship between technology and gender.
The first workshop was conducted in November 2019, at GIZ headquarters in Berlin.

A Coisa
A safe space for connecting people being used as methodology to map trends.
How can we more efficiently map the conversations that people are having without relying solely on proactive ethnography? Also, there is a lack of places where people can discuss anything without discrimination or an specific curatorship.
That's when I created "A COISA" (which roughly translates to "The Thing" - something indefinite, vague, a word used to describe pretty much anything and everything). It was an open night event, hosted at Springpoint, in São Paulo. For the first prototype, around 20 people showed up.
Strangers were invited to describe themselves without referring to their occupation or profession - which is the most common way which people from São Paulo present themselves - and to share something they wanted to talk about.
Some of the themes which people talked about in the first edition were: aliens, veganism, uncertainty, skate, graffiti, apps and podcasting.

Atacado.com
Trimoda, a fashion marketplace asked for a total brand revamp, a full package with creative concept, brand intelligence, visual identity, UX and communication plan.
Me and my team at Springpoint, a creative hub connecting people with meaningful projects, proposed that Trimoda reinvented itself as Atacado - a new ecosystem in which the marketplace is the means, not the end. The main target is women with informal background, which are just beginning to understand digital and social media in order to thrive their own business.
Guided by the creative concept "It's not economy, it's business class", I participated through the whole ideation, research and creative process. My main role was delivering a communication plan. The new website premiere in November, 2016.

HYSTERIA
Hysteria is a multimedia content platform created, dreamed and produced by women.
Conspiração Filmes' curatorial and production center is formed by a network of producers, directors, screenwriters and creatives. Hysteria has the objective of creating an ecosystem to support projects conceived and realized by women, not necessarily on "supposedly" feminine subjects.
Alongside Julia Ponteli, I was responsible for the trends and ethnographic research which gave basis for the whole strategy, and transformed its insight in brand and content guidelines which led to the creation of the platform.
Within weeks since its creation, Hysteria already has received wide attention from Brazilian mainstream media, acquired thousand of videoviews and social media followers.

Cryptonomy
Envisioning emerging technologies affecting the future of finance
By transforming how we exchange, count & store money, digital technology is fundamentally rewiring the financial sector.
Cryptographic currencies and distributed ledger technologies have proved scaleable, leading the way to more decentralized economies. We refer to this as the Cryptographic Economy, or Cryptonomy for short.
To illustrate the factors causing this change, we have documented hundreds of emerging technologies and organizations related to the financial sector. We visualize research findings through an interactive interface, and perform quantitative assessment using crowd and expert intelligence.
Our aim is to raise awareness about the future financial sector, spark conversation and generate insight.
Cryptonomy is a collaboration between Envisioning and Innotribe.
The project was unveiled at Sibos 2016 in Geneva on 26 September.

Out.sight
A 5-day course about the past tense of the future
The goal of Out.Sight is to discuss aspects of the world and everyday life that are in deep and accelerated transformation process. Education, work, consumption, architecture, gender identity and entertainment have become more than we can keep up with. How does this affect us? How will this affect us? And more importantly: how not to get hit, or worse, lose that change?
Alongside an amazing team, I co-created this course which aspires to become a movement in order to be a catalyst for change, and to ease Alvin Toffler's concept of Future Shock: "the distress, both physical and psychological, that arises from an overload of the human organism's physical adaptive systems and its decision-making processes. Put more simply, future shock is the human response to over-stimulation".
I was responsible alongside Amanda Talhari to develop the content for the course Out.Gender, a day which we discussed the trends about gender identity and the intersection between tech and gender. It was the day which received most positive feedback from the attendees.

D.Matter
A safe space created at the heart of São Paulo where relevant discussions can spring without fear of repression.
Imperceptible in the eyes of the present time, unknown and non-existent nature to our direct observations.
Dark matter, enigmatic and abundant. The beginning for something still without end. We have come to bring forth the value and power of questions hidden within you. We are an experience of interaction that brings to light the raw material of the most relevant questions: rare objects that still do not have meanings. A new environment emerges, a clearing in time, a hole in space for the genesis of creation. Where the rule have the rules themselves. Where free expression is order and celebration of diversity, the apex. What matters to you?
This project was co-founded with Karine Uehara, Julia Pontelli and Guilherme Santili.
All the events were held at Galeria 540, at Pinheiros.

ZeroHunger
We are changing food from the roots up.
By drastically transforming how we grow, trade, consume, and dispose of food - new paradigms, behaviors, and ideologies are unfolding. And it is all happening at an increasingly accelerated pace. We believe that it is crucial to understand and discuss how these scenarios will impact our society over the course of time.
Our aim is to raise awareness about the future of food to spark conversations. With Envisioning ZeroHunger we open this narrative through the use of our visualization tool, which allows us to explore a vast range of scenarios and emerging technologies.
